Visiting Google

Our next destination was to Mountain View to visit our friend Cliff at Google.  The traffic was absolutely terrible going in, but once we got inside the Google complex, there was very little traffic.  There were a lot of Google bikes parked in front of the building.  We met up with Cliff, and he gave us a tour of the campus.  There is really everything that you could want, including a bowling alley, washing machines, swing dancing lessons, and three meals a day.  We ate in the cafeteria, and the food was quite good.  There were two kinds of soup, two kinds of salad, and stir fry with beef and stir fry with tofu, rice and bok choy as the main dish.  Cliff said they are going for healthy and well-balanced meals.

After dinner, we went to Cliff's office, and he showed us some of the things he's been working on with the Google Authors project, as well as the Google Glass and the Google Cardboard.  It was really interesting to see Google, and fun to catch up with Cliff!
